Is Working From Home Really The New Normal?

Picture this; You’re sitting at your desk in your office. A coffee mug sits next to you, while you work on the latest brief your boss has given you. This probably was your average day at work until March 2020. It’s been nearly a year since you actually went to the office regularly, (well, most of you), and that seems a little tough to take in, especially since it feels like time’s flown.

So, you’ve taken your laptops home, and you’ve taken work home, something you never thought you would have to do. At this point, it felt like we’d all be back in offices before too long, and it was only a matter of weeks until that happened. While offices have opened up, most only have those employees attending who do their best work in-office.

A year into the pandemic, we’re still logging in work hours from home, we still have to suffer the ignominy of a poor connection over Zoom calls, we still overwork ourselves because sometimes, we don’t know just when to ‘switch off’, so to speak. At this point, we still do not know when the offices will open up completely, or if they actually will, at all. At this point, we have to consider the possibility of working from home for the foreseeable future, if not forever.

While your offices may be out of bounds for you, Kaarobaar isn’t!
